CVSA’s Chief People Officer (CPO) is a partner-level position, a member of the executive committee and a direct report to the Board of Directors. The mandate for this high-level executive role is to curate and maintain our greatest assets - our people. We seek to attract, retain and reward highly-talented surgical professionals. The CPO is responsible for performance evaluations, calibrating talent by level, and identifying gaps to fulfill growth objectives.

The CVSA CPO is a ‘people person’. The role requires an individual who is a self-starter and is willing to ask our professionals how they are doing, what is going well, and what can be done better. The CVSA CPO is fair, uses the lens of merit and excellence to evaluate performance and pivots if the culture strays.
The CVSA CPO is a market-facing role as well. Attending galas, industry functions and interfacing with partners is essential to meet growth objectives and grow our talent base.
Previous work in executive recruiting, strategic human resources and digital growth marketing are essential.
Bachelors degree required. MBA is not required.

As a partner of CVSA, the CPO will be granted equity shares in the company that vest upon signing. Other aspects of compensation & benefits include:
Annual guaranteed draw of $300,000
Performance bonus (additional equity shares) upon meeting performance growth objectives
Immediate vesting of any equity grants upon a liquidity event (IPO, Change-in-Control, etc.)

Dedicated Executive Assistant
Annual budget devoted to market-facing eminence events
